Facebook challenged the hackers of the world in the second annual Cup race Hacker. This online contest can be followed all the people in the world, including in Indonesia. Facebook has opened the world's hackers race registration begins Wednesday, January 4, 2012.
The qualifying round world champion computer program will begin on January 20, 2012 and ending on January 23, 2012. Each participant will receive three questions that must be completed in a span of 72 hours. Well the participants who completed at least one question will qualify for the Online I.
Act I of this will take place January 28 to 24 hour time span. Just as the qualifying round, participants had to solve at least one issue so they can continue to the next round. In this round up only to capture the best 500 participants based on correct answers and speed.
Entering the second round, participants received only allotted three hours to solve problems. This round took place on February 4, 2012. A total of 100 participants would be awarded the best t-shirt official Hacker Cup. Announcement of participants who qualified for the third round are sent via electronic mail.
The final round will take place online on February 11, 2011. A total of 100 participants have to solve the problem for three hours. Online Round III will choose 25 hackers around the world.
Facebook will fly the 25 best hackers into its new headquarters in Menlo Park, Calif., to attend the final round on March 17, 2012. The winner will receive U.S. $ 5,000 prize and the title of world's top hackers. Ranked second will receive U.S. $ 2,000, third $ 1,000, respectively and the remaining U.S. $ 100.
Last year about 12 thousand programmers participated in the first Hacker Cup. Google officials from Russia, Petr Mitrichev, became the winner of the race that was held up for this. Mitrichev also been a champion Code Jam 2006 contest held by Google. The contest is challenging the world to solve puzzles algorithm programmer.
