Research In Motion (RIM) appointed CEO (Chief Executive Officer) new, replaced the duo's co-CEO Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis who decided to resign. Thorsten Heins who previously served as Chief Operating Officer (COF) RIM elected to replace both.
Although analysts had expected earlier, Balsillie and Lazaridis news pullback remains shocking the public. Apparently this is the peak of the internal complexity RIM terendus long time.
Wall Street Journal on Monday (1/23/2012) launch, Lazaridis and Balsillie is long enough under pressure to investors, so it should take off his post. Yet despite the retreat from the position of co-CEOs, they remain in the position of the board of directors.
Another source quoted by blogs and tech sites Boys Genius Report says, discourse RIM sells to Samsung re-surfaced in the executive ranks of RIM.
But in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, RIM's new CEO candidates Thorsten Heins stated the company is not for sale. However, the launch of the BlackBerry 10 will potentially open the door of a license agreement with another vendor
