Rooney Denies Allegations Kompany Red Card Problem


Manchester - Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini, accusing the Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney 'role' in the expulsion of Vincent Kompany in the FA Cup third round matches. But Rooney has denied the allegations.

Kompany straight red card by referee Chris Foy after just walking 12 minutes due to two-foot tackle on Nani. This decision is then a matter of controversy because replays showed the Belgian defender get the ball.

Playing with 10 people, the City gave up 2-3 and eventually knocked out. While Manchester United cruised into the fourth round and will meet with Liverpool.

Rooney, who scored twice in the game Mancini has been accused of influencing referee in ousting Kompany.

"Yes. He (Rooney) is close to the referee. It's not a red card. Rooney told the referee decision," accused the manager quoted by the Daily Mail.

Rooney defended himself on charges of Mancini. According to him, Kompany deserve expelled for dangerous tackle.

"It's funny how people think that I'm the cause Kompany expelled. I'm not wasitnya. I do not give a red card. But it deserves a red carded. Tekel two legs," Roo chirping through his Twitter account @ WayneRooney.

Senior defender 'Red Devils', Rio Ferdinand agrees with his teammate's. Through Twitter, Ferdinand defended the referee's decision.

"By the way, how can there be debate Questioning the red card yesterday?? You leave the field with # 2footTackle (Dachshund two feet) = a red card # facts," added Ferdinand.

As a result of receiving the red card, Kompany will miss four games at The Citizens. But Mancini has confirmed that his team would appeal.
